Social Innovation Forum fosters greater social and economic impact by promoting, connecting and supporting social entrepreneurs and social investors. Applying many of the same principles found in the private sector's venture capital community, the Social Innovation Forum strengthens nonprofit organizations by providing innovative leaders with direct access to the human and financial capital they need in order to grow and sustain their organizations.

Problem

Social Innovation Forum needed a capable content management system for promoting interest in its member organizations, as soon as possible and on a limited budget.

Solution

Vercadia consultants, working in a volunteer arrangement with e-Volunteers, contributed to the design and development of a content management system that gives entrepreneurs a means of communicating information about their organizations to the public and collecting information about interested individuals.

Technology

The site was built using the open-source Plone content management framework and leverages custom workflow, membership properties and portlets.
